White Sauce Sandwich
Ingredients:
Bread Slices - 12Onion (finely chopped) - 1/2 cup
Carrot (grated) - 1/2 cup
Yellow bell pepper - 1/2 cup
Green bell pepper - 1/2 cup
Red bell pepper - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Milk - 2 cups
Wheat flour - 2 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Oregano - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
2. When it starts to melt add onion and fry till it turns translucent
3. Add carrot, yellow, green, red bell pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes
4. Add wheat flour and mix
5. Add 1 tbsp butter and milk and keep stirring
6. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes slight thick and creamy. Cook in low flame.
7. Add salt, oregano, pepper powder and give a mix
8. Once the sauce is thick in spreadable consistency add coriander leaves, give a quick mix and switch off
9. Set aside to cool.
10. Apply the prepared white sauce on one side of a bread and seal it with another bread.
11. Heat a tawa or pan apply little ghee or butter
12. Place the prepared sandwich on it
13. Apply little ghee or butter on the upper side and flip after a minute
14. Toast the sandwich till it turns golden brown and crispy from both sides
15. Take it out in a plate and cut it in desired shape
16. Serve immediately else the sandwich will become soggy if resting time is given. Serve hot, yum!!
