Capsicum Raita | शिमला मिर्च रायता

Capsicum  Raita  Ingredients: Curd / Yogurt - 1 cup Oil - 2 tsp Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp Curry Leaves (Kari Patta) (Chopped) - 1 tsp Onion (Finely chopped) - 1/4 cup Green Chilly (Finely chopped) - 1 Capsicum (Finely chopped) - 1/4 cup Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp Roasted cumin powder -1/4 tsp Salt  - 3/4 tsp Method: 1. Whisk the curd till smooth and keep aside 2. Heat oil in a pan 3. Add mustard seeds  and let them crackle 4. Add onion, curry leaves , green chilly  5. On a medium flame saute onions for 1 or 2 minutes 6. Add capsicum and mix it nicely  7. Saute on low flame for 6-7 minutes, till the capsicum are half done 8. Switch off the flame and add red chilli powder,Cumin powder, salt and mix well. 9. Bread Poha Ingredients: Bread Slices (Cut into cubes) - 6 Oil - 2 tbsp Mustard seeds - 1 tsp Onion (finely chopped) - 1/2 cup Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 1 tsp Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp Curry leaves (chopped) - 6-7 Tomatoes (finely chopped) - 1 cup Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Red Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp Hing (Asafoetida) - a pinch Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 2 tbsp Salt - 1/2 tsp or as per taste Method : 1. Heat oil in a pan 2. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle 3. Add chopped onion and saute on medium flame till they turn translucent 4. Add chopped green chilli, ginger and curry leaves 5. Saute till the raw aroma of ginger goes away 6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing and mix well 7. Add chopped tomatoes and stir well 8. Add salt and mix very well 9. Tricolour Idli Ingredients: Idli Batter - 1 kg (or as required) Orange Idli : Tomato - 1 (roughly chopped) Red chilli  - 2 Oil - 1/2 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Baking soda - a pinch Green Idli : Green Coriander - 1 cup (chopped) Green chilli - 2 (chopped) Oil - 1/2 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Baking soda - a pinch Method: Divide the Idli batter into three equal parts Orange Idli : 1. Heat the oil in a  kadai  and saute the tomato and red chilli for just a couple of minutes for the raw taste to go 2. Cool it and grind it smooth paste 3. Mix it with one portion of the Idli batter to make the orange colour of the Idli 4. Add salt and baking soda and mix well Green Idli  : 1.
