मखाने का पाग | Makhana Paag

Makhana Paag Ingredients : Makhana - 1 cup Desi Ghee - 1/2 cup Sugar - 6 tbsp Method : 1. Cut each makhana into4 pieces 2. Heat ghee in a kadahi and roast makhana till they become crispy 3. Take them out in a plate and let them cool 4. Take 1/4 cup water and sugar in the kadahi and let it boil 5. Prepare sugar syrup of one thread consistency (To check- take a drop of syrup in a bowl and  touch the syrup with a clean forefinger and then touch your thumb and forefinger together and pull apart gently.   One-thread consistency is when a single thread is formed (and does not break) when your forefinger and your thumb are pulled apart gently.  )  6. Immediately add the roasted makhana and mix nicely 7. Now transfer these contents on a greased plate  8. Let it cool 9. Keep it in an air tight container  10. You can enjoy this delicious Makhana Paag for 10 - 15 days 11. This is a sweet that is specially prepared as prasad for Janmashtmi

Jaggery Foxnut | Gud Ka Makhana Ingredients: Foxnut (Phool makhana) - 50 gm Jaggery (Gud) - 100 gm Desi Ghee - 2 tbsp Method: 1. Cut jaggery into small pieces 2. Add 2 tbsp water in it and keep aside for 10 minutes 3. Roast makhanas in microwave for 30 seconds and then stir it 4. Repeat the process of roasting in microwave 3 times 5. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the makhanas till light brown and crispy 6. Take them out of the pan and keep aside 7. Now add the jaggery with the water in the pan 8. Keep stirring on high flame till it becomes little thick 9. To check correct thickness, put 2 drops on a spoon and then take the syrup between your index finger and thumb 10. Open the index finger and thumb opposite to each other and if it shows 1 or 2 strings of syrup coming up, your syrup is ready 11. Now add the fried makhanas in this syrup and keep stirring it 12. Falahari Makhana Namkeen  Ingredients: Groundnut - 1 cup Almonds - 1/2 cup Makhana (Fox Nut / Lotus Seed) - 1 cup Melon Seeds - 1/2 cup Dry Coconut - 1/4 cup (Cut into thin slices) Rock Salt (Sendha Namak) - 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp Desi Ghee - 2 tbsp Method: 1. Chop makhanas to 2 pieces 2. Dry roast the melon seeds by continuous stirring, till they become fluffy 3. Transfer in a bowl and keep aside 4. Put Ghee in the kadahi 5. Now fry almonds on low flame in this ghee, by stirring continuously 6. When they become fluffy remove them from ghee and keep aside 7. Fry groundnut in the same kadahi by continuously stirring 8. Makhana Kheer For Vrat | Foxnut Pudding For Fast Ingredients: Makhana (Fox nut) - 2 cup Milk - 1 litre Almonds - 1/2 cup Pistachios - 1 tbsp Chironji (Charoli Seeds) - 1 tbsp Green Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp Sugar - 1/2 cup Desi Ghee - 2 tbsp Method: 1. Soak Almonds and Pistachios in hot water for 10 minutes 2. After 10 minutes peel the almonds and pistachios 3. Finely chop the almonds and pistachios 4. Heat Ghee in a Kadahi 5. Fry makhana in this ghee by continuous stirring 6. Fry till it becomes light brown 7. Now add milk in this kadahi and let it boil 8. When it starts boiling, lower heat and let it cook 9. Add cardamom powder and mix well 10. After 5 minutes add chopped almonds and chopped pistachios 11. Cook till it becomes thick and then add sugar and chirongi 12. Cook for 2 minutes 13.
