Chironji Paag
🧾 Ingredients:
Chironji- 100 gmSugar - 100 gm
Method:
💧🔥 1. Start with Boiling Water
In a heavy-bottomed kadhai, pour ¼ cup water and bring it to a boil on medium heat.
🍬✨ 2. Add Sugar & Prepare Syrup
Once the water starts boiling, add sugar and stir continuously until it dissolves.
Let the syrup cook until it reaches one-thread consistency.
🔍 To check one-thread consistency:
Dip a clean finger into the syrup, press it between your thumb and forefinger, then slowly pull apart. If a single thread forms and doesn't break, it's ready.
🌰➕ 3. Add Chironji (Charoli)
As soon as the syrup reaches the right consistency, add the chironji and mix thoroughly so the nuts are well coated in the syrup.
🍽️🧈 4. Transfer to a Greased Plate
Immediately transfer the mixture onto a plate greased with ghee. Flatten it gently for an even surface.
❄️✂️ 5. Cool & Cut into Pieces
Let it cool completely. Once set, cut into squares or diamonds to form barfi.
🫙⏳ 6. Store and Enjoy
Remove the pieces and store in an airtight container.
This delicious Chironji Paag stays fresh for 10–15 days and makes a perfect festive or fasting treat.
