Amla Kachhi Haldi Thecha
Ingredients:
Amla -250 gmFresh Turmeric - 100 gm
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 8 cloves
Salt as per taste
Green Chilies - 8 or as per taste
Peanuts - 1 cup
Green coriander (finely chopped) - 1 cup
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Method:
1. Cut amla into small pieces and deseed it2. Peel fresh Turmeric, wash and chop it
3. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, hing
4. When the cumin crackles, add garlic cloves, chopped amla, fresh Turmeric.
5. Sprinkle salt, 1 tbsp water, cover and let it saute on slow to medium flame until the amla is soft
6. Once amla is soft, mix in fresh green Chilies and peanuts
7. Cook for another 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Turn off the heat, toss in a cup of fresh coriander and mix everything well
9. Once it cools down, coarsely grind it a little in a mixer
10. Finally add lemon juice and give a mix.
11. Enjoy the spicy, tangy Thecha with roti, paratha, bhakri or daal - chawal
