Punjabi Style Kamal Kakdi - Aloo Sabji

Lotus Stem (Kamal kakdi) - 250 gmMethod:

Wash the lotus stem (kamal kakdi) thoroughly to remove all mud.
Peel and slice into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.

Add tomato puree and cook till the oil separates and moisture evaporates completely.

Add the fried lotus stem and potatoes to the masala. Mix well to coat.

Pour in 1/2 cup water and stir to combine everything.

Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and coriander powder.
Mix thoroughly so the veggies soak up the masala.

Cover and cook on low heat for 4–5 minutes so flavors blend well.

Sauté for another 2 minutes.
