Besan Badam Ladoo for Toddlers
Ingredients:
Almonds - 1/2 cupBesan - 1/2 cup
Desi Ghee (Cow A2) - 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Desi Khand - 1/3 cup
Method:
1. Dry roast almonds for 3-4 minutes on medium flame2. Let them cool and then grind them
3. Heat ghee in a kadahi and add besan
4. Roast it on low flame stirring continuously
5. Roast until it turns golden brown (about 5-7 minutes)
6. Sprinkle 1 tbsp water and cook till the froth disappears
7. Turn off the flame
8. Add almond powder and mix well
9. Transfer the mixture in a large plate and spread it for cooling
10. Cool until little warm and then add cardamom powder, khand

11. Mix until khand is properly blended in flour nicely
12. Knead till mixture becomes nicely soft
13 Take small portion give the shape of ladoo
14. Make ladoos from remaining mixture
15. Soft and mouthwatering protein rich ladoos are ready to enjoy
Tips to Remember:
- Make sure to roast besan on low flame for aromatic ladoos
- Keep stirring continuously or it will get overcooked at some place
- Do add water after besan is roasted to give it slightly grainy consistency and it helps the flour to cook thoroughly before making the ladoos
- Don't add khand or sugar to hot mixture
- Store the ladoos in airtight container for long shelf life
Besan Badam Ladoo recipe is similar to the traditional besan ke laddu except for the addition of almond flour (badam powder). It’s a perfect healthy snack for growing kids who doesn’t like to eat whole nuts (dry fruits).
