Masoor Dal Pakoda



Ingredients:

Red Masoor Dal - 1.5 cup
Ginger - 1 inch
Green chili - 5
Salt as per taste
Ajwain - a pinch
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Rice flour - 2 tbsp
Oil for frying

Method:

1. Wash dal nicely and soak in water for 3 hours
2. In a blender add soaked dal, ginger, green chilies, salt and grind it coarsely without adding water
3. Take it out in a mixing bowl
4. Add ajwain, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, rice flour
5. Mix nicely
6. Heat oil in a kadahi to fry pakoras
7. Now change the flame to medium and drop small pakodas made from the batter in the oil
8. Fry them till they turn golden brown from all sides
9. Take them out in a plate lined with kitchen paper
10. Serve it hot with green chutney
